Areas of Practice

Southbrook Fire Research offers testing to AS1530.4 and AS/NZ 3013:2005. We provide IANZ accredited test reports in accordance with these standards. Currently Southbrook Fire Research can provide IANZ accredited reports for Section 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10 and 12 of AS1530.4 and AS/NZ 3013:2005 Appendix A and C fire resistance tests. We are also accredited to EN1366 for penetration seals.

For small scale material testing we are accredited to ISO 5660 (cone calorimeter).

Our accreditations are always expanding so will be able to provide additional testing methods if your test does not fit our current scope.

IANZ Scope

Research and Development

Research and development can be frustrating and time consuming. At Southbrook Fire Research we not only provide reports when a test passes but can provide a failure report if the test does not meet the requirements of the standard which is invaluable for research and development. As an approved Research and Development test facility you can claim 15% of applicable testing costs under the NZ Governments Research and Development Tax Credit scheme.
